What is the Bill Rogers Memorial Wildlife Scholarship?
The Colorado Trappers Association Selection Committee awards a $500 scholarship to a student pursuing a higher education. Half is paid upon proof of first semester registration and the second half upon proof of second semester registration and evidence of a 3.0 grade point average. The scholarship must be used within one year of being awarded and may be awarded regardless of other scholarships. The application deadline is MAY 1st, every year. Who is eligible?
To be eligible you must:
· Intend to pursue a higher education and a career in any field, however preferences will be given to the following fields:

Environmental
Sciences Forestry
·
Forestry
·
Biology
·
Fields
related to Wildlife Management
· Fields related Agriculture
· Maintain a 3.0 or B average at time of application.
· Plan to attend any accredited four year college or university, a two-year campus which is part of a larger school system, a two-year community college, or an accredited technical college.
· Maintain a minimum of 12 credits per semester
· Be truthful, friendly and have a love for nature and a desire to learn more about our living natural resources.
What other
things does the Selection Committee consider?
The Selection Committee will consider financial need, work history, and extracurricular activities. Preference will also be given to applicants who are members or whose parents or guardians have been and are currently active members of the Colorado Trappers Association.
Naming of alternate by Selection Committee:
If recipient decides by August 15th not to go to college, the money will be awarded to an alternate.
